Bolder Writers offers the following thoughtfully planned programs and services:
Summer Writing Groups:
Our 11 week summer writing groups meet once per week for two hours and delve into a variety of genres through creative writing exercises. At the end of the sessions, students will learn how to use the writing process, share their writing with others, and gain the confidence to see themselves as writers.
Tutoring:
We offer 1:1 or small group tutoring in the areas of language arts, reading, science and art. We work with the family, teacher(s), and student to create a solid plan of action that will best meet everyone’s needs. Through tutoring sessions, students will gain confidence with writing and reading as they are guided and motivated to improve their skills.
School-year Writing Group:
Join Bolder Writers for a FREE writing group where we will explore creative writing exercises in a supportive environment. Facilitated by former and current BVSD educators, this group will guide students to strengthen and build upon their writing skills.
Weekend Seminars:
Come out and join Bolder Writers to take a one-day dive into a specific genre, such as poetry, short stories, persuasive and informational writing. Writers will learn, create, share, and leave feeling inspired to write more inside and outside of school.
